“Marilyn Monroe, yeah”Marilyn Monroe, yeah

Naming "Marilyn Monroe" sets up the song's whole argument: "Nxde" reclaims the word "nude" to mean one's true, authentic self rather than something sexualized. (G)I-DLE leader Soyeon wrote, composed and arranged the track, and its MV stages the members as old-Hollywood movie stars with direct nods to Monroe, including Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) (Wikipedia). Musically it flips a classic on its head by sampling the "Habanera" aria from Bizet's 1875 opera Carmen (Wikipedia). It was the lead single from the EP I Love (October 17, 2022) and topped South Korea's Circle Digital Chart (Wikipedia).
