sandara park is finally making her OWN music after 22 years and i need everyone to sit down
the 2ne1 legend has done literally everything in this industry except release her own songs — and she's fixing that with a solo project called 'reprism.' 22 years of waiting and mother said now.
okay everyone take a breath because sandara park — DARA, 2ne1 royalty, a woman who has been famous since flip phones — is finally releasing her own music. after twenty-two years. i'm normal about it. (i am not.)
the project is called 'REPRISM' and it's not a one-off — she's been building it for over two years. a two-track single album lands this fall, with a full-length album coming after. she's doing this properly, like someone who has waited two decades and is not about to rush the good part.
the two songs tell you everything: one's called 'Festival,' a rock reimagining of a track you already know, and the other, 'Nail,' is her very first original composition, written with her own songwriting team. not her covering someone. not her featuring. HER songs. finally.
she called it "the biggest turning point in my life," and honestly? believe her. she said in 22 years she wore every hat except the one where she makes her own music — and that hat is on now.
so yes, a 2ne1 member is entering her singer-songwriter era in the year 2026 and i think that's beautiful. we are so back and dara is so home.
