Young K Said 'YOUNGEST' and Bestie, the July 27 Feelings Are Already Booked
the DAY6 bassist drops his second full-length solo album 'YOUNGEST' on july 27 at 6 p.m. KST, and he's been drip-feeding teasers all month. his 2023 solo debut was entirely self-written, so yes — we're bracing to be read for filth.
july 27, 6 p.m. KST. write it down, clear the evening, warn your group chat. Young K is putting out 'YOUNGEST,' his second full-length solo album, and the DAY6 girlies have been in slow-motion emotional freefall since he announced it at midnight on july 6.
the man then ran a month-long psychological operation about it. concept film, scheduler, tracklist, four separate rounds of concept photos, lyric spoiler clips, live sampler episodes. every time we regained composure, another teaser. no rest, no mercy, no HR department to report him to.
the titles alone are doing an enormous amount of work: 'Marionette,' 'Drivin' into Hell,' 'Yonge St.' and 'whatever.' one of those is going to end a lot of people and we do not yet know which. that's the fun part. (it is not the fun part.)
and he isn't stopping at the release — a solo tour kicks off august 14 in Incheon. bassist, vocalist, resident feelings guy, now also a touring soloist. the range is frankly rude.
his 2023 solo debut was self-written front to back, so the assignment is already understood: personal, lyric-forward, devastating in a way we will absolutely queue at 2 a.m. see you on the 27th. hydrate first.

the 'BLINGY' album is here and the members are talking about circling back to where it all began
ten YEARS. nct 127 have been out here a full decade and instead of a smug victory lap they went for something way more emo: looping back to who they were at the very start.
the facts: their 10th-anniversary album 'BLINGY' is out — nine tracks, lead single of the same name — and at the press conference the members framed it as a reset, a 'find our way back to where we started' kind of era, as taeyong put it.
they also made sure the whole family feels present even when they can't all be in the room: with some members currently away, the album was built to keep everyone represented.
and yes there's a tour — NEO CITY: THE REDLINE launches with seoul dates in september. a decade deep and the 127 stamina is frankly rude.
