(G)I-DLE's Soyeon is going solo again after FIVE years and the self-producing queen is back on her throne
the leader returns as a soloist in early september — her first solo release since 'Windy' back in 2021
no bc a Soyeon solo era was the missing piece i didn't know my fall needed. (G)I-DLE's leader is making a solo comeback and the auteur is BACK.
on august 19 it was reported that Soyeon will return as a solo artist in early september. CUBE Entertainment basically confirmed it by reposting the report on its official socials — which in kpop-agency language is a big loud YES.
here's the part making me feral: this is her first solo release in FIVE years and two months, since her debut solo mini "Windy" back in july 2021. she's spent that whole stretch writing and producing (G)I-DLE into a global juggernaut, so a Soyeon-on-Soyeon project? the vision is going to be unhinged in the best way.
early september, we wait. neverlands, our girl is about to remind everyone she's one of the sharpest pens in the game. mother is mothering. ✍️

the group's resident dance machine went solo and turned the entire mv into one long flex
dino basically said 'you like it? good.' and then proceeded to body an entire music video by himself. 'LIKE IT' is out and the man is DANCING dancing.
the facts: it's a solo release from seventeen's maknae, it dropped august 24 at 6pm KST, and the mv is a straight-up showcase for the footwork he's been quietly hoarding since debut.
we always knew he could move — he's dino — but there's something a little unhinged about the youngest just deciding to out-perform everyone on his own solo. the confidence is EARNED, though.
new comfort choreo unlocked. i'll be rewatching until i can do exactly zero percent of it.
