TXT's Yeonjun Wins First Trophy for Solo Single 'Ice Cream'

6,920 points on the july 17 Music Bank, the first-ever win for 'Ice Cream,' and i-dle's 'Gimme Dat Love' left in the runner-up chair. MOAs, hydrate.

6,920. that's the number, that's the whole tweet, i will be repeating it into my pillow tonight. yeonjun walked onto the july 17 Music Bank and walked back off with the first trophy 'Ice Cream' has ever collected, and the confetti had the AUDACITY to fall in slow motion.

the other name on the board was i-dle with 'Gimme Dat Love,' which is not what i'd call a soft draw, bestie. that's a full group with a full arsenal against one man and a solo concept — and the one man took it. sit with that for a second.

a soloist win hits structurally different. there's no members to split the screentime with, no one else's fancam quietly farming your numbers, no group chant to hide inside. it's one person, one mic, one camera, and every single decision landing on him. he made it look like a hobby.

the rest of the episode was genuinely stacked too — MONSTA X's kihyun, sunmi, GIRLSET, RESCENE, AHOF and a whole parade of rookie acts all pulled up and served. gorgeous stages across the board. exactly one of them got handed a trophy.

MOAs, this is number one. the shelf is empty, the era is young, and the man is clearly not planning to stop at a single. start clearing space now.
