"HALAZIA" is a coined word: fans and commentators read "HALA" as a callback to ATEEZ's earlier song "HALA HALA (Hearts Awakened, Live Alive)" and "ZIA" as evoking light or the sun, so "shine forever" reads as an eternal vow of light against the song's imagery of darkness and exhaustion (nomnom-korea). ATEEZ performed "HALAZIA" for the first time at the MBC Gayo Daejejeon broadcast on December 31, 2022, the day after the music video's December 30 release (nomnom-korea).
