TWICE Members' Contract Talks With JYP Continue Amid Rumors

reports have tied Tzuyu, Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung to possible contract changes at JYP — some of it sparked by a parent's social media post, which, amiga, is not evidence. JYP says renewal talks with all members are still in progress and nothing is finalized, so everyone please sit down.

not the entire fandom running textual analysis on an instagram post from nayeon's mom. that is genuinely where this started, and everything stacked on top of it since is speculation in a trench coat.

so let's be extremely clear before anyone spirals further: none of it is confirmed. the reports going around have nayeon possibly leaving JYP or moving her solo work elsewhere, tzuyu supposedly not renewing an exclusive contract while staying in TWICE, jihyo allegedly setting up her own agency, and jeongyeon and chaeyoung attached to vague transfer chatter. rumor, rumor, rumor, rumor.

JYP has not confirmed any of it. the company's line is that renewal discussions with the members are still ongoing — which, in k-industry translation, means nothing has been signed and everybody needs to sit down.

what's making the timeline unwell is the timing. all of this is landing right after the nine of them closed out the 'THIS IS FOR' world tour, which is historically the exact window where contract math gets loud and fandoms lose the plot.

so breathe, bestie. nobody has announced anything. when there's an actual statement we'll be right here for it. until then it is vibes, and vibes are not receipts.

TWICE's Jeongyeon Signs New Agency for Acting, Stays in Group

After 11 years at JYP, the TWICE member signed with a new agency to act, but says the group stays her first priority.

ONCE do NOT spiral — Jeongyeon is fine, TWICE is fine, everybody put your phones down. yes, she is leaving JYP Entertainment after 11 years. no, she is NOT leaving TWICE. the girls are fully intact.

here's the actual tea: Jeongyeon signed with Varo Entertainment — the same agency that reps her older sister, actor Gong Seung-yeon — to seriously pursue acting while staying fully in TWICE. it's a two-jobs-one-icon situation and we support a multi-hyphenate queen.

she got sentimental about it too, admitting she was scared to leave somewhere so familiar but found the courage thanks to her members and Once. "standing before Once as a member of TWICE will always be my first priority," she said. no because who's cutting onions.

so this is not the disbandment fever dream your FYP tried to sell you — it's a glow-up. mother is expanding the empire into acting while keeping the group in the same breath. Jeongyeon the actress era, loading. we are seated and supportive.

TWICE, Stray Kids Invited as Grammy Voting Members

the Recording Academy invited TWICE, Stray Kids, and JYP’s Park Jin Young to join as voting members. the girlies and the boys officially have a say now.

the Recording Academy sent out its invitations and JYP walked away with eighteen of them. eighteen. artists and executives, one label, one round. it's the group project everyone actually wanted to get picked for.

the names that matter: all nine of TWICE, all eight of Stray Kids, and Park Jin Young himself, all invited as VOTING members — meaning an actual ballot in who takes home a grammy. the label's CEO Jeong Wook and CSO Shin Hyun Kook came in as professional members, which is the category for the executive side of the house.

for scale, the academy extended more than 4,000 invitations in this round, so nobody's pretending this was a personal coronation. what it IS: a bloc of K-pop's biggest working acts now sitting inside the body that decides the outcome. that's structural, bestie. that hits different than a nomination.
