a report claimed the couple split — then their reps shut it down within hours and reached for the lawyers

buckle up for a whiplash timeline. a broadcast report claimed twice's chaeyoung and singer zion.t had broken up after roughly two years together, blaming the classic 'busy schedules.' the internet inhaled.

and then, plot twist: within HOURS, reps for both artists put out a joint statement saying the breakup reports are false, that the two are still together and on great terms, and — for the people in the back — warning of legal action over unverified reporting.

so where does that leave us, factually? per their own camps, the relationship is very much ongoing and the breakup is denied. treat the split as unconfirmed-slash-debunked, because the people who'd actually know said so, loudly.

the real story is a couple confirming they're fine while simultaneously cocking the legal team. a power move. leave chaeng and zion.t alone challenge: impossible, apparently.

The TWICE x JYP Contract Drama Just Escalated and the Rumor Mill Is in Shambles

after the Tzuyu reports, Jihyo, Chaeyoung, and Jeongyeon are now reportedly weighing their options at JYP too. nothing’s confirmed — but the speculation is spiraling.

okay everybody put the tribute montage down and read the ACTUAL reporting, because the vibes online have massively outrun the facts here. nothing below is confirmed. i'm going to keep saying that until it sinks in.

what korean outlets reported on july 14, specifically: JoyNews24 said jihyo may be looking at setting up a one-person agency for SOLO work — and that she'd stay with TWICE for group activities either way. Nate News said chaeyoung has taken meetings elsewhere, possibly to split a group contract from a solo one. Naver Entertainment said jeongyeon has been meeting agencies, and Varo Entertainment acknowledged a meeting while stating "nothing has been finalized regarding any contract."

none of that is a departure, bestie. a meeting is a meeting. a separate solo agency is a filing cabinet, not a breakup — plenty of idols run group promos under one roof and solo work under another and the sky stays firmly where it is.

the wave started with an unconfirmed july 13 report about tzuyu, and from there the timeline did what the timeline does: extrapolated an entire future from three reports and a feeling. some of the names getting pulled into this have no reporting behind them at all — only comment sections.

JYPE's line has not moved: renewal discussions are ongoing, company and members are talking it through, and they'll announce something when there's something to announce. that is genuinely the whole confirmed record.

so — ONCEs, breathe. rumors are not receipts, meetings are not resignations, and nobody has to feel anything specific until someone actually signs something. we wait.

her 'I Live Alone' jeju preview showed 3am sunrise yoga and van naps, and most people just thought she looked HAPPY

the reach of certain people online is truly an extreme sport. a preview of Yuri's episode on MBC's "I Live Alone" dropped and one corner of the internet decided her whole peaceful jeju life was a Lee Hyori tribute act. bestie. be so for real.

the footage showed Yuri waking up around 3 a.m., heading to the beach with a friend, and doing sunrise yoga by the sea — she described it as slowly waking her body up and having a quiet moment with herself. she also reportedly modified a bongo-style van herself for island trips and naps. it's giving grounded, outdoorsy, log-off-and-touch-grass core.

and to be clear: MOST reactions were positive. viewers called her healthy, down-to-earth and glowing, saying it was a refreshing episode. the vibes were immaculate until the discourse crashed the party.

THEN some commenters started calling her a "Lee Hyori copycat" over the yoga-and-nature-on-jeju of it all. but fans clapped back fast, pointing out Yuri was already doing yoga and asking why doing normal wellness things suddenly counts as imitation. genuinely — since when is resting a crime.
